Become a dPOP Designer

dPOP is seeking a formally trained interior designer with a focus on commercial design, to create unique solutions for our client needs. Our ideal team member is passionate about design and always looking to push their skills to the next level. This person has subject matter expertise in large-scale projects, and a deep understanding of the necessary steps in each phase to ensure successful project completion. Exceptional candidates have design experience, are highly-motivated problem solvers, and are able to manage a diverse project load and client base.

• Work with lead designers to develop innovative design concepts that are reflective of client goals + culture
• Collaborate on commercial interior projects: including identifying client needs, developing design solutions from conceptual to schematic, and completing final design installation
• Create client surveys and culture workshops for design development
• Gather materials necessary for projects based on palette selection and design scheme
• Specify + procure furniture customized to each client’s project
• Create palettes and select finishes
• Create photo realistic renderings
• Prepare presentation material for client meetings
• Assist in the creation of projected budgets with experience adhering to a set budget
• Solicit bids from contractors
• Develop and work with fabricators on custom design solutions
• Prepare necessary documents for construction administration
• Job site review, construction management, including punch list
• Manage multiple clients with varying scale of work and diverse project scopes

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or interior architecture from an accredited college or university
• 3+ years of professional experience in commercial design or related fields
• Expert in rendering: sketching and digital
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge in Revit, 3ds Max, vRay
• Proficiency in procurement software
• Working knowledge of industry standards and drawing documentation
• Experience in managing project budgets + timelines
• Specification skills in furniture, fixtures + equipment (FF+E)
